India Conducts ‘Exercise Desert Hunt 2025’

An integrated Tri-Service Special Forces exercise, Exercise Desert Hunt 2025, was conducted by the Indian Air Force at Air Force Station Jodhpur from 24 to 28 February 2025, focusing on strengthening inter-service cooperation and combat readiness.
- The exercise brought together elite Para (Special Forces) of the Indian Army, Marine Commandos (MARCOS) of the Indian Navy, and Garud (Special Forces) of the Indian Air Force, operating in a joint combat environment.
- The drill aimed to enhance interoperability, coordination, and synergy among the Special Forces to ensure a swift and effective response to emerging security challenges.
- Key operations practiced included airborne insertion, precision strikes, hostage rescue, counter-terrorism operations, combat free falls, and urban warfare scenarios, simulating real-life conflict conditions.
- Senior military officials supervised the exercise to assess the effectiveness of joint doctrines and ensure operational preparedness.
- The exercise tested the combat readiness of the forces under realistic conditions, evaluating their ability to respond to high-intensity threats.
