National Dhanwantari Ayurveda Awards

On 20th February 2025, the Ministry of Ayush honoured three distinguished Ayurveda practitioners with the National Dhanwantari Ayurveda Awards for their exceptional contributions to traditional Indian medicine.
- The recipients of this year’s awards are Vaidya Tara Chand Sharma, Vaidya Maya Ram Uniyal, and Vaidya Sameer Govind Jamadagni for their pioneering work in Ayurveda.
- Each awardee received a citation, a trophy featuring Lord Dhanwantari’s statue, and a Rs. 5 lakh cash prize.
- Union Minister of State for Ayush (IC) highlighted Ayurveda’s role in global healthcare and holistic healing.
- Vaidya Tara Chand Sharma, a renowned Nadi Vaidya and author, has significantly contributed to Ayurveda literature and education.
- Vaidya Maya Ram Uniyal, a Dravyaguna Vigyana expert, has dedicated over six decades to research and administration, earning prestigious awards.
- Vaidya Sameer Govind Jamadagni, founder of Vishwa Vyakhyanmala, has played a vital role in transforming Ayurveda education through global conferences.
