India Strengthens Maritime Ties with UAE

From 15th-21st February 2025, Indian Coast Guard Ship (ICGS) Shoor is participating in NAVDEX 2025 and IDEX 2025 in Abu Dhabi, showcasing India’s maritime prowess and strengthening defence ties with the UAE.

• The ICGS Shoor, an advanced Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV) built by Goa Shipyard Limited, arrived in Abu Dhabi to showcase India's maritime prowess and foster regional security partnerships.
• The visit aligns with India's SAGAR (Security and Growth for All in the Region) initiative, emphasizing maritime security, cooperation, and economic development in the region.
• The visit facilitates extensive bilateral discussions with UAE maritime agencies, focusing on search and rescue operations, environmental protection, and anti-piracy strategies.
