India, Oman Conclude 'Naseem Al Bahr' Naval Exercise

The Indian Navy and Royal Navy of Oman successfully conducted the 'Naseem Al Bahr' joint naval exercise off Goa’s coast from 13-18 October 2024, strengthening mutual cooperation.

  • The exercise, held in two phases, included a harbour phase from October 13 to 15 and a sea phase from October 16 to 18, 2024, fostering enhanced professional interactions and joint operations.
  • Personnel from both navies participated in subject matter expert exchanges, planning conferences, sports fixtures, and social engagements during the harbour phase, deepening relationships and collaborative strategies.
  • During the sea phase, naval manoeuvres included gun firings at inflatable targets, anti-aircraft drills, and Replenishment at Sea Approaches (RASAPS), showcasing advanced naval capabilities and tactical interoperability.
  • The exercise achieved its objective of enhancing interoperability and mutual understanding, reaffirming India's commitment to strengthening maritime partnerships in the Indian Ocean Region, particularly with Oman.
