Rajwinder Bhatti and Daljit Chaudhary

On 28th August, 2024, Senior IPS officers Rajwinder Singh Bhatti and Daljit Singh Chaudhary were appointed as the new Directors General of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) and the Border Security Force (BSF), respectively.
- Rajwinder Singh Bhatti, a 1990 batch IPS officer from the Bihar cadre, is currently serving as the Director General of Police in Bihar.
- Bhatti will assume his role as the CISF chief from the date he takes charge, with his tenure lasting until his superannuation on September 30, 2025.
- Daljit Singh Chaudhary, a 1990 batch IPS officer from the Uttar Pradesh cadre, has been serving as the chief of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB).
- Both officers have had distinguished careers in their respective states, with Bhatti leading Bihar's police force since December 2022 and Chaudhary overseeing the SSB before his current appointment.
- The appointments come at a critical time, with both the CISF and BSF playing pivotal roles in national security and border management.
