Pre-Retirement Workshop for Government Employees

On 28th August, 2024, the Centre organized a pre-retirement counselling workshop to educate retiring employees on pension benefits, tax rules, and digital life certificates, benefiting over 750 upcoming retirees.

  • The Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare (DoPPW) conducted the 55th pre-retirement counselling (PRC) workshop, focusing on smooth transitions for Central government employees.
  • Various sessions during the workshop covered essential topics like the BHAVISHYA portal, integrated pensioners portal, retirement benefits, and family pension processes.
  • The workshop also addressed Income Tax rules, the ANUBHAV initiative, digital life certificates, and investment opportunities to prepare retirees comprehensively.
  • A “Banks’ Exhibition” was organized, with 18 pension disbursing banks participating to provide pension-related services and guidance on opening pension accounts.
  • The DoPPW also hosted the 7th Anubhav awards ceremony, recognizing the contributions of Central government employees, with five women among the 15 awardees.
  • The 11th nation-wide pension adalat was also held, addressing 298 cases with a resolution rate exceeding 82%, demonstrating the department's commitment to good governance.
