National Communications Academy

On July 19th, 2024, the Ministry of Communications merged the three training institutes of Department of Telecommunications (DoT) into a single administrative entity under the name ‘National Communications Academy’ (NCA).
- The three institutes are - National Telecommunications Institute for Policy Research, Innovation and Training (NTIPRIT), the National Institute of Communication Finance (NICF) and Wireless Monitoring Training & Development Centre (WMTDC).

- The National Communication Academy (NCA) will be led by the Secretary of Telecom as its ex-officio Chairperson, with the Additional Secretary (T) as Vice-Chairperson.
- The NCA will function as a unified entity, managing budget and transfers across its three campuses: one in Ghaziabad and two in Ghitorni.
- The NCA aims to enhance integration and efficiency through streamlined training and resource optimization, offering a comprehensive approach to skill-building in the communications sector.
- The Chairperson will oversee all NCA affairs, with the heads of the three campuses reporting directly to them.
- The Governing Council (GC) headed by Chairperson will make strategic decisions regarding policy, budget, and significant matters related to the NCA's operations and development in the evolving Telecom sector.
