International Day of Cooperatives 2024

On July 6th, 2024, the 102nd International Day of Cooperatives 2024 is being celebrated with the theme - “Cooperatives Build a Better Future for All.”

Key Points

Every year the day has been observed on the first Saturday of July ever since 1923 by the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA).
The Ministry of Cooperation is organizing ‘Sahkar se Samriddhi’ conference on July 6^th to mark the celebration of International Day of Cooperatives 2024.
July 6^th is also the 3^rd Foundation Day of the Ministry of Cooperation.
Ministry of Cooperation has undertaken more than 54 initiatives in the cooperative sector since its establishment.
The theme of International Cooperative Day 2024 is in aligns well with the objectives of the upcoming UN Summit of the Future whose theme is "Multilateral solutions for a better tomorrow".
