Pawan Kalyan: Deputy CM of Andhra Pradesh

On June 12th, 2024, Janasena Party Chief Pawan Kalyan took oath as Deputy Chief Minister (CM) in the Andhra Pradesh government. The party won all the 21 assembly constituencies and both Lok Sabha Seats it contested.
Key Points
- He was elected from the Pithapuram assembly constituency in the East Godavari district.
- He began his acting career with the movie "Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi" in 1996.
- In 2014, he founded the Janasena Party, but stay away from elections as party was new and lacked organisation.
- In 2019, he formed alliances with Communist parties and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). And got only about 5% of the votes and one MLA.
