Pirul Lao-Paise Pao Mission

On 8th May 2024, Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami initiated Pirul Lao-Paise Pao Mission in Rudraprayag district to combat forest fires.
- Campaign involves collecting Pirul (Pine Tree leaves) from forests by local villagers and youth.
- Pirul will be weighed and villagers compensated at Rs 50 per kg, transferred directly to their bank accounts.
- Tehsildars to open Pirul collection centres supervised by Sub-Divisional Magistrates.
- Collected Pirul to be stored, processed, and provided to industries under district administration's supervision.
- Efforts to maximize Pirul collection will be led by district Magistrates and Divisional Forest Officers.
- Pollution Control Board to manage the mission with a separate fund of Rs 50 crores, ensuring compensation for villagers.
