Five IPS Officers Promoted to Joint Directors

On 6th May 2024, Five IPS officers, including S Veeresh Prabhu, appointed as joint directors in CBI by ACC. Appointments for tenures up to 2027.

S Veeresh Prabhu, Rajiv Ranjan, Sumedha Dwevedi, Vijayendra Bidari, and Sharada Raut appointed.
Veeresh Prabhu appointed for tenure up to October 13, 2027.
Rajiv Ranjan's tenure extends up to May 30, 2026.
Appointment approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC).
Promotion reflects trust in officers' capabilities for leadership roles.
Move aims to strengthen CBI's investigative capabilities with experienced leadership.
