World Press Freedom Prize

On 2nd May 2024, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) recognized the courage of Palestinian journalists covering the Gaza conflict, honouring their commitment to freedom of expression amidst difficult circumstances.

• Committee to Protect Journalists reports at least 97 press members killed, with 92 being Palestinians.
