KG Jayan

On 16th April 2024, KG Jayan, renowned Carnatic musician and singer, passed away at 89.

Renowned for devotional tracks, including compositions dedicated to Lord Ayyappa.

Born on November 21, 1934, in Kottayam, Kerala, he began his musical journey at age nine.
Alongside twin brother KG Vijayan, they formed the celebrated "Jaya-Vijaya" duo.
Collaborated with legends like KJ Yesudas and P Leela, leaving an indelible mark in music.
Notably composed the first Ayyappa devotional song performed by a woman, P Leela.
His legacy includes over 1,000 compositions, cherished by music lovers worldwide.
