On 26th March, Centre appointed Sadanand Date as NIA DG, Rajeev Kumar Sharma as BPR&D DG, and Piyush Anand as NDRF DG.

  • Sadanand Vasant Date appointed as Director General of NIA.
  • Rajeev Kumar Sharma appointed as DG of Bureau of Police Research and Development.
  • Piyush Anand appointed as DG of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF).
  • PV Ramasashtry, IPS officer, repatriated from Border Security Force (BSF).
  • Date, known for bravery during 26/11 attacks, to serve until December 31, 2026.
  • Rajeev Kumar Sharma to head BPR&D until June 30, 2026.
  • Piyush Anand appointed temporarily as NDRF DG for two years.
