SAGE – Senior care Aging Growth Engine

The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has launched an initiative known as SAGE – Seniorcare Aging Growth Engine on 4^th June 2021.

Aim: It aims to improve the quality of life of Senior Citizens by providing financial support to those startups that offer innovative products, solutions and services for the care of elderly.

Advantages: It will ensure the development of more robust elderly care ecosystem in India.

• It will provide innovative technological solutions to the problems of elderly.
• Empowerment of elderly will reduce their dependence on other social and government institutions. It will mitigate the fiscal costs arising out of old age dependency.
