Renewables 2022 Global Status Report

Recently, the Renewables 2022 Global Status Report (GSR 2022) was released by the Renewable Energy Policy Network for the 21^st Century (REN21).

• The report documents the progress made in the renewable energy sector across the globe.

Renewables: India’s Performance- Renewable Energy: India ranked third in renewable energy installations in 2021, after China and Russia.

• New Solar PV Capacity: India was the second largest market in Asia for new solar PV capacity and third globally. Annual solar additions in the country underwent substantial growth in 2021 with an additional 13 GW installed.
• Total Solar Installations: India ranked fourth for total solar installations (60.4 GW), overtaking ....
