Recently, the Prime Minister declared Modhera village in Gujarat as the country’s first 24×7 solar powered village.
Located 25 km from the Mehsana district of Gujarat, the village is famous for a centuries-old Sun temple built during the Chalukya reign.
It is located on the banks of the Pushpavati river in the state.
