Continuation of Revamped Rasthriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan

On 13^th April, 2022, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs approved continuation of the revamped Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA) for implementation during the period from 1st April 2022 to 31st March 2026. The scheme is now co-terminus with the 15th Finance Commission period.

Major Impacts: Strengthening Gram Sabhas - The scheme will strengthen Gram Sabhas to function as effective institutions.
