TRIFOOD Scheme

It was launched in 2019 as a joint collaboration of Ministry of Food Processing Industry, Ministry of Tribal Affairs and TRIFED.

  • The objective of the scheme is to create tertiary value addition centres which will mainstream tribal products. For example, under the scheme “Heritage Mahua” drink will be promoted at national level.
  • As of now, under the scheme two tertiary value addition centres have been created in Jagdalpur (Chhattisgarh) and Raigad (Maharashtra) at a cost of approximately Rs.11 crores. ....
