Provisions for Protection and Empowerment of Women
The Constitution of India has following provisions for protection and empowerment of women and children-
Article 15(3): Special provisions for women and children.
Article 39: Guarantees equal pay to women for equal work.
Article 42: Ensures just and humane conditions of work and maternity relief
Article 39 (a): The state shall secure the right to an adequate means for livelihood for men and women.
Article 39 (e): The state shall ensure that the health and strength of women are not abused and they are not forced into entering a vocation against their choice due to economic necessities.
