National Institution Ranking Framework (NIRF)

Ministry of Human Resource Development has been releasing Ranking System Framework for Higher Educational Institutions of India since 2016.

• The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) has been launched to rank higher educational institutions in the country based on objective, verifiable criteria.
• The ranking system is expected to promote excellence in education in a competitive environment. 5 broad and 16 micro parameters are used to gauge the performance of an institution.

As per NIRF 2021, IIT Madras is at 1^st position among the Engineering colleges, and IIM Ahmedabad is at the top among the Management colleges. ....
