Crime in India 2020

Crime in India Report 2020 was released by the National Crime Records Bureau. According to the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) data:

• India recorded 50035 cases of cybercrime in 2020, 44735 cases of cybercrime in 2019 and 27248 cases of cybercrime in 2018.
• The rate of cybercrime (incidents per lakh population) also increased from 3.3% in 2019 to 3.7% in 2020 in the country.
• Total Cyber Crimes against Children: 1102
• Total Cyber Crimes against Women: 10405
• Incidents of "fake news on social media": 578
• Among States, the maximum 11,097 cybercrime cases were reported in Uttar Pradesh followed by Karnataka ....
