Council for Advancement of People’s Action and Rural Technology (CAPART)
CAPART was formed by mandate of the 7th Five-Year Plan in 1986 as a nodal agency for coordinating the partnership between voluntary organizations and the government for sustainable development of rural areas.
It was formed by the amalgamation of two agencies, the Council for Advancement of Rural Technology and People’s Action for Development India.
CAPART is an autonomous body registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860, and functions under the aegis of the Ministry of Rural Development.
