The principal focus on the Internal Security front remained on countering terrorism in J&K, maintaining peace in the NE States, containing LWE, and maintaining peace in the hinterland of the Country.
The central government has neutralized the Article 370 of the Indian Constitution and converted Jammu and Kashmir, a state into two Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and UT of Ladakh, and central government has taken a direct control in her hands to control the infiltration and terrorism in the region.
