Causes
- Poverty: Due to their limited purchasing power, the poor are unable to provide their families with the quantity and quality of food they would like. Their ability to perform physical labour is negatively impacted, and they are paid less. Thus, a vicious circle of undernourishment, decreased labour capacity, poor wages, and poverty begins.
- Feeding Practises: Undernutrition in the family is caused by a variety of factors, including a lack of knowledge about the nutritional value of food, irrational food attitudes, improper child raising, and poor feeding practises.
