Cheetah Deaths at Kuno National Park

On 20th July, 2023, the Supreme Court expressed dismay over the deaths of cheetahs brought as part of India’s ‘Project Cheetah’ to Kuno National Park from South Africa and Namibia within a year, urging the Union Government to take corrective actions.

  • On 2nd August, 2023, another female cheetah died at the park, taking the toll to nine.
