Great Indian Bustard
- There are 150 Great Indian Bustards (GIB) in Rajasthan's Desert National Park (DNP).The claim doesn't completely align with a previous report of 150 birds of the species for the whole of India, put forward by the Wildlife Institute of India.
- GIB, an omnivorous bird, is also found in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.
- It is protected under Wildlife Protection Act 1972 of India and is considered as "critically endangered" by the IUCN Red data ....
