3GPP Approves NaVIC
- Global Standards body, 3GPP has approved India’s regional navigation system NaVIC.
- 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) is an umbrella group consisting of 7 major telecommunication development organizations (ARIB, ATIS, CCSA, ETSI, TSDSI, TTA, TTC). It undertakes projects like telecommunications technologies, including radio access, core network and service capabilities, which provide a complete system description for mobile telecommunications.
