Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2024
On 22nd August, 2024, the joint parliamentary committee (JPC) tasked with reviewing the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2024 met for the first time amid concerns from both government allies and opposition parties. It was introduced in the Lok Sabha on 8th August.
