Indian PM’s Visit to Kyiv Marks Diplomatic Shift
On 23rd August 2024, Indian Prime Minister made a historic visit to Kyiv, the first by an Indian leader since Ukraine's independence, signalling a significant shift in India's geopolitical strategy amidst the ongoing war in Ukraine.
Key Agreements Signed
- Areas of Cooperation: Indian PM and Ukrainian President signed agreements in agriculture, food industry, medical product regulation, and cultural cooperation.
- BHISHM Cubes: India presented BHISHM cubes, developed under Project Aarogya Maitri, to Ukraine for trauma care. Ten cubes, containing 22 tonnes of medical support equipment, were officially handed over.
