  • Weights and Measures: The establishment of its standards is included in the Union List (Entry 50).
    • The enforcement of laws regarding weights and measures (legal metrology) is mentioned in the Concurrent List (Entry 33A).
    • Provision for adoption and succession is in the concurrent list. Betting and gambling is a State subject (Entry 34 in State List) therefore, the State authorities are empowered to regulate/control illegal gaming, betting and gambling in their respective areas.
