World Restoration Flagships

The UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration's winning ecosystem restoration programmes are referred to as "Global Restoration Flagships."

  • These initiatives are eligible for receiving UN-backed promotion, advice, or funding. They were selected under the United Nations Decade on Ecosystem Restoration.
  • They are recognised for promoting the best practises of large-scale and long-term ecosystem restoration while also embodying the Ten Restoration Principles of the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration.
  • The UN designated 10 initiatives as the 2022 Global Restoration Flagships at COP15 in Montreal.

The ten World Restoration Flagships are –

  1. Trinational Atlantic Forest Pact (Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina)
  2. Abu Dhabi Marine Restoration ....
