Miyawaki Method
The Miyawaki approach involves planting microforests on tiny pieces of land to reforest urban areas.
- After identification and a soil quality examination, the native trees of the area are separated into four levels (shrub, sub-tree, tree, and canopy).
- Japanese botanist Akira Miyawaki created it in the 1980s.
- It guarantees that plant growth will be 30 times denser and 10 times faster than usual.
