Compensatory Afforestation Fund
Compensatory afforestation (CA) is the term used to describe afforestation and regeneration projects carried out to make up for forest land that was transferred to non-forest uses.
- For the same objective, the act creates National and State Funds.
- The money received in the National and State fund shall be an interest bearing and non-lapsable under public account.
- The National and State Authority function is to manage and use the respective funds for the purposes of this Act, such as the conservation and development of forest and wildlife.
- 90% of all money collected for compensatory afforestation by a State/UT shall be transferred to ....
