MSME Sustainable (ZED) Certification Scheme
On 28th April, 2022, the Central government launched the MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) Sustainable (ZED) Certification Scheme.
- The Scheme is the revamped version of earlier Zero Defect, Zero Effect (ZED) scheme for Udyam-registered MSMEs.
Need
- According to the feedback received from MSMEs and industry associations, it was found that they were unable to comply with all 50 parameters as per the Zero Defect, Zero Effect (ZED) scheme.
About the Scheme
Phases
- Phase 1 of the scheme launched will focus largely on maximising inclusion of manufacturing MSMEs and taking them through the ZED journey.
