Sengol

On 28th May, 2023, during the inauguration ceremony of the New Parliament House, Prime Minister installed the Sengol, a historical sceptre from Tamil Nadu, near the chair of the Speaker of the Lok Sabha.

  • The Sengol was kept at Allahabad Museum in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh after it was given to Jawaharlal Nehru.
  • On November 4, 2022 it was shifted to the National Museum, Delhi.
