Printing in Three Dimensions
- In 1986, a physicist Charles Hull has patented the 'Stereolithography' technique which now commonly known as 3D printing.
- In 2014, Hull was inducted into the national Inventors Hall of Fame. He is also known as the 'Father of 3D Printing'.
- International Standard Organisation (ISO) has divided Additive manufacturing techniques into 7 main classes named as: Material Extrusion, Vat Polymerization, Powder Bed Fusion, Material Jetting, Binder Jetting, Direct Energy Deposition and Sheet Lamination.
