Scheme for Residential Education for Students in High Schools in Targeted Areas (SHRESHTA)
- SHRESHTA is implemented in two modes to provide quality education for meritorious SC students.
- Mode 1: 3,000 meritorious SC students are selected annually through the National Entrance Test (NETS) for admission in class 9th and 11th in private residential schools. Financial assistance is provided until the completion of class 12th.
- Mode 2: Financial assistance is given to organisations running projects for Non-Residential Schools, Residential Schools, and Hostels for SC students at Primary and Secondary ....
