- The Digital Agriculture Mission was approved on 2nd September, 2024, with an outlay of Rs. 2817 Crore.
- The Mission aims to create a robust digital agriculture ecosystem for innovative, farmer-centric digital solutions.
- It provides timely and reliable crop-related information to farmers across the country.
- One of the major components is Agristack, which includes three foundational registries: Farmers’ Registry, Geo-referenced village maps, and the Crop Sown Registry.
- It is a federated structure and the ownership of the data within Agristack lies with the respective States.
