India’s Space Sector
- The Indian Space Policy 2023 defines roles and responsibilities of stakeholders in the Indian space ecosystem.
- Various schemes to encourage private sector participation have been announced and implemented by IN-SPACe, such as Seed Fund Scheme, Pricing Support Policy, Mentorship, Design Lab for NGEs, Skill Development, ISRO facility utilization, Technology Transfer, and frequent business roundtables.
- IN-SPACe has signed around 51 MoUs with Non-Government Entities (NGEs) to support space systems and applications, enhancing industry participation in manufacturing launch vehicles and satellites.
