NASA's PACE Satellite: A New Era of Earth Observation
On 7th February, 2024, NASA's latest climate satellite, PACE (Plankton, Aerosol, Cloud, ocean Ecosystem satellite), embarked on a mission to meticulously survey Earth's oceans and atmosphere.
- SpaceX launched the PACE satellite on a nearly $1 billion mission, utilizing a Falcon 9 rocket to achieve a rare polar orbit over the Atlantic Ocean.
- The satellite, stationed 420 miles above Earth, will observe oceans and atmosphere for at least three years, equipped with three science instruments conducting daily and monthly scans.
