New Insights into Star Formation Process in the Milky Way
Recently, an international team of astronomers that included Indian scientists (from the Indian Institute of Science and the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology) shed light on how stars form and die in our home galaxy, the Milky Way.
- The study was part of the GLOSTAR (Global View on Star formation in the Milky Way) galactic plane survey, detecting previously unseen tracers of massive star formation, a process that dominates galactic ecosystems.
