NASA’s Sonification Project
- It is a new project of NASA which uses sonification that transforms data from astronomical images into audio sound. The images used are taken from NASA's Chandra X-Ray Observatory and other telescopes. This allows users to listen to the centre of the Milky Way as observed in X-ray, optical, and infrared light.
- The image data has been collected by NASA’s Chandra X-Ray Observatory, Hubble Space Telescope and Spitzer Space Telescope — each of which is represented by a different musical instrument.
