Education Ministry Guidelines to Identify and Educate Migrant Children

The Union Ministry of Education has issued guidelines for educating migrant children across the country, whose studies were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

  • As part of the new guidelines, the government will identify these school-going underprivileged students and will either enrol them for online classes or help them to attend physical classes.

Key Features of the Guidelines

  • Continuation of non-residential training for identified Out of School (OoSC) children through volunteers, local teachers and community participation.
  • Continuation of home-based education for Children with Special Needs (CWSN) through volunteers or special educators.
