Blue Dot Network, ‘Quad Plus’ Arrangement and India’s Options - By Chronicle Editorial Team

Recently, a group of the US Senators, in a letter, has asked India to join the Blue Dot Network (BDN). They also backed India’s decision to invite Australia to the annual Malabar naval exercise, which India did.

  • Given the rising anti-China narrative across the globe, the scope for promoting the BDN as an alternative to the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) has risen tremendously. So will India, an Indo-Pacific partner of the United States and a member of the Quad process (the United States, Japan, and Australia being the other members) consider joining the BDN in the near future?
