Aatmanirbhar Defence Sector
On 22nd February 2021, while speaking on the budget allocation for India’s defence sector, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for ‘Aatmanirbhar’ in the defence sector and the need to focus on exports in the sector.
- He also pitched about the untapped potential of India’s manufacturing for military equipment and the increased role of the private sector in helping achieve this self-reliance.
