Chief Guest for Republic Day

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has been invited as the chief guest for India’s 76th Republic Day celebrations on January 26, 2025, marking his first official visit to India since assuming office.

The visit will reinforce the strong historical ties between India and Indonesia, which have developed into a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in recent years.
During the state visit, both countries are expected to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation in economic, cultural, and strategic sectors, focusing on mutual growth and stability.
Indonesia plays a pivotal role in India’s Act East Policy, as both nations are committed to enhancing cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region, ensuring regional peace, and fostering sustainable economic development.
