Major Changes Announced for CUET-UG from 2025

On 10th December 2024, UGC Chairperson announced that from 2025, students will have increased flexibility in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG), allowing them to appear for any subject regardless of their Class 12 stream.
Key Reforms
- Expanded Subject Choices: CUET-UG will include 63 subjects (up from 37), offering students a wider selection.
- Subject Flexibility: Students can choose up to five subjects, reduced from six, to focus their preparation.
- Standardized Duration: All exams will have a uniform duration of 60 minutes.
- Mandatory Questions: Optional questions have been eliminated, and all questions will now be compulsory.
- Digital-Only Mode: CUET-UG will be conducted exclusively in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format.
