TRAI Orders Crackdown on Spam Callers

On 13th August, 2024, TRAI directed telecom companies to disconnect all telecom resources of unregistered telemarketers making spam calls and blacklist them for up to two years.

  • TRAI has mandated telecom companies to immediately disconnect and blacklist unregistered telemarketers using telecom resources for making spam calls.
  • All promotional voice calls from unregistered telemarketers or senders must be halted immediately under TRAI's new directive.
