India to Host 81st IATA Meeting

On 3rd June, 2024, IATA announced that India will host the 81st IATA Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Delhi, in June 2025.

This will be the third time the IATA AGM will be convened in Delhi, after 1958 and 1983.

IATA was founded in Havana, Cuba, on 19 April 1945.
It is the prime vehicle for inter-airline cooperation in promoting safe, reliable, secure and economical air services - for the benefit of the world's consumers.
The international scheduled air transport industry is more than 100 times larger than it was in 1945.
At its founding, IATA had 57 members from 31 nations; mostly in Europe and North America. Today it has over 330 members from 120 nations in every part of the globe.
It is headquartered in Montreal, Canada with executive offices in Geneva, Switzerland.
It supports many areas of aviation activity and helps formulate industry policy on critical aviation issues, including environmental concerns.
